Talked to a lady in the line at Wal-mart and she told us all about her TWENTY cats and then introduced us to her daughter!!  WHOSE NAME WAS KAT.

I'm gonna have 20 skunks & name my son skunk.

Made a MASSIVE breakfast with Sister Amos for the 16 BRAND new missionaries at the mission home! 

Also realized how bad I am at cooking!!! 

Actually, was TOLD how bad I am at cooking!!

OOPS sorry Sister Amos!!!! 

Also apparently the only place that would hire me to cook would be McDonalds. (thx sis. Amos)

Highlight of the week?? HUGGING HERMANA ELLY GLENN!!!!!!! pumped for BYU round 2 baby. 

Charlotte is working toward baptism!!!!!!  She is a SOUTHERN GIRL lemme tell ya. 

Her favorite animal is a turtle! because of how they taste!  

CEDRIC IS THE DOPEST MAN ALIVE!! 

This man is absolutely SHREDDED from the waist up and has absolutely nothing from the waist down. 

His legs were amputated in his 20s because of a gunshot wound from when he was selling drugs. Don't worry though!! Cedric's best friend has got his BACK & hit the guy who shot him with his CAR. 

Cedric is READY for the gospel & was going insane when we taught him the Plan of Salvation. He absolutely LOVED it.

ME TOO CEDRIC. 

The church became my HOME this week, we had so many meetings. 

Heavenly Father has become my TRUE best friend this past transfer.  Prayer is a GIFT!!!  A BLESSING!!! 

He is ALWAYS willing to listen to you. I am insanely grateful for His love.

BATTLE OF THE SALESMEN 

We went store contacting at bass pro shop & were approached by KAREEM. 

He was REALLY trying to get us to enter a free raffle so we said we'd enter the raffle if he'd take one of our books. 

He ACCEPTED so while Sister Ervin furiously typed away, entering the raffle, I started talking to him. 

He said he was NOT religious & his dad was a preacher so he already knew whatever I was gonna tell him. 

I WHIPPED out the Book of Mormon & we read 2 Nephi 2:25 together. 

me: "Kareem when's the last time you felt joy? TRUE & LASTING joy??" 

k: "uhhhh when I was like 8 probably.."

me: "8?! do you want that joy back?" 

k: *shrugs* & looks down 

me: "Kareem I KNOW you want that joy back. You NEED it back" 

k: "yeah....I want it" 

UHHHHH YEAH YOU DO?!?!? 

Sister Ervin joined me & we BORE our heart & souls out about the joy the Book of Mormon brings. 

Missionary work is so fun oh my goodness. 

Everyone pray that Kareem finds the courage to open it and see for himself. 

Brother Blanchard calls me "dimples" & is my best friend. He's 77.

He came on a mission tour here & roasted the whole mission while simultaneously being the kindest & funniest man ever. 

New goals: never ever have an unkind thought about ANY member or unit leader & bring a new friend to church EVERY single Sunday. 

MLC & Zone Conference were on the SAME day & it was a blast. 10 hours straight with Elder Aidukaitus??? Not enough. 

Went on exchanges with Sister Nwobi!!!! Her & her comp, Sister Garcia, KILL me.

Serial killers are my FAVORITE mythical creatures. 

Also went on exchanges with Sister Stokes and I'M OBSESSED WITH HER. 

We biked. 

I have MISSED biking more than I thought possible. 

Adam Sandler tried to force us to take a free puppy!

My reputation has begun to PRECEDE me & another sister reached out to me and asked me to cut her hair?!?!?!? 

I told her YES as long as she is okay that the only scissors I own are the ones you find in a kindergarten classroom. Shockingly.... she agreed. 

DON'T WORRY GUYS we have found some SOLID NEW PEOPLE TO TEACH!!!!!!! 

Hallelujah! I was dying there for a little bit. 

Street contacting in Louisiana is a lil bit toasty, but also way too much fun. Way too much. 

Oh such a happy time.

Dungeon master therapy is a real thing!! 

And I need therapy after talking about D&D for TWO hours with Brother & Sister Caldwell. 

Sister Ervin was homeschooled so I've made sure to introduce her to all the CLASSIC middle school jokes she missed out on!!!!! 

Currently she's spelled ICUP for the first time!

I've asked "wait, what's under there??" 47 times...

BUT she REFUSES to say her first name, what the color of the sky is, and the opposite of down?!?!?!

We must culture her. 

Volleyball night with the ward was a BLAST until Brother Ryan roasted me, "do they not have volleyball at the MTC anymore??" 

Our ward mission leader and our stake high counselor over missionary work have a DEEP DEEP hatred for each other. 

We got FRONT row tickets to Joe vs. Roy last Sunday during 2nd hour.....

I CAN NOW POLISH DANCE SO WELL THAT IF YOU SAW ME YOU'D THINK I GREW UP IN POLAND. 

I'm so covered in poison ivy I have become poison ivy. picture attached of when it started appearing.... 

We taught the 15-18yr olds Sunday school class and now MY DREAM calling is to be a seminary teacher. I'm serious. SIGN! ME! UP!

I always read his verse & thought EVERYONE within earshot of this man was converted. I don't know how I skipped verse 32?????

THEY HEARD THE WORD! 

They were standing right there!!!!! but did they TRULY listen??

In order for the Spirit to be able to do it's work, the listener HAS to have an open heart & an open mind. 

Are you HEARING & HEEDING the voice of the Lord?! 

We HAVE to keep our hearts & minds WIDE open to the Spirit.

HEAR HIS WORDS. & then listen.
