Joseph's roommate and best friend, Marlin, who just started investigating the church... had a seizure and passed away last Monday. 

Sister Gilmore said that Joseph called them SOBBING but halfway through the call calmed down and SAID, "but I know I can be baptized for him in the temple."

Went on exchanges in Vicksburg, Mississippi!! And I DIDN'T EVEN REALIZE I was in Mississippi UNTIL AFTER I was back in Louisiana?!?

Joseph has switched from DREAM friend/investigator to DREAM member!!!!! His testimony is only growing & his roommate came to church with him!!!! Get ready for baptism MARLIN!! 

We told Carl to name the garden we planted with him "Zion" & when we went back he had printed out a MASSIVE sign that said "zion garden!" SOBBING. 

We got CHARGED at by the most massive dog I've ever seen. If he was painted green I would have thrown some purple shorts on him & named him hulk. 

Nathan was REAL excited when we gave him his own copy of the Book of Mormon!! He PLANTED a wet one on it & then tried to do the same to us!! Good thing we have MAD swerving skills. 

Honestly I wanna kiss the Book of Mormon sometimes too!!! I LOVE THAT BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sometimes I feel like my little door to Heaven/God's love is WIDE open and sometimes I feel like it's SLAMMED shut. 

A little bit ago my door was feeling SEALED shut. No MATTER what I did...all the yanking, begging, knocking, & pulling...it just wouldn't budge. 

ALL I wanted was for that door to SWING open so I could feel & see the LOVE that God has for me. 

GUYS that door is OPEN!!! Not only that, but that little door is GONE. Now it's just a massive wide open world with both God & me. 

Don't put up a wall/door/curtain/ANYTHING between you & God.

IF there is something... BUST IT DOWN!

Kyla & her mom came to church on Sunday and Kyla bore her beautiful testimony. 

Not a dry eye in the building. 

She & Nicholas are on date for baptism again & she isn't going to let ANYTHING stop them from taking this next step. #gettingadivorce....

We found out he plays the electric guitar????? 

We formed a band & I think we are gonna go BIG.

We went to Walmart and met THE PROPHET AND MARTIN LUTHER KING JUNIOR! Kinda cool! His name was Willie. 

We got to go to mutual and talk to the young women about missions & missionary work!!! It was the funnest night of my life and so powerful. 

I truly do love being a missionary. More than anything I've ever done.

We went to FARMERVILLE this week. Way out in the boonies & experienced a folk life day festival!!! Imagine dozens of booths set up with hundreds of grandmas & grandpas walking around talking about the good 'ole days. 

A DREAM. 

We got saged & everyone gave us free things because Sister Gilmore is Native American. 

I'll miss these lil perks. 

We served at a veterans home as a district & this old man went down the line & PUNCHED each Elder in the arm.... then turned to me and said "I like your hairdo darlin'" 

We are running away together.
